April 17 - *Meeting. Induction of officers. Mackies’ Pizza ($12) 11:00-1:00.
April 23 & 24 - Earth Day Celebration at children's Story Time at Marion Carnegie Library, 10:00 a.m. Earth Day is the 22nd.
April 26 - Arbor Day Ceremony, 9:30 a.m. Plant tree at Inclusive Playground at Fosse Park.
May 4 - Marion Garden Club Spring Plant Sale, 8:00 am - 3 pm, Fosse Park-John Kaiser Pavilion (set-up starts at 7:00 a.m.).
May 6-8 - Plant any needed annuals from plant sale at Pool, Fairgrounds and City Park beds.May 15 - *Trip to Gehman’s Greenhouse, Ewing Road. Leave from St. Joseph’s Church parking lot on Russell St at 10 am and travel to the "Buzz" restaurant on the square in Benton. Eat lunch and have meeting. Travel to Gehman's after lunch.
June 2 to 8 - National Garden Week- Sign Proclamation and give donations to Marion Carnegie Library, Williamson County Historical Society, and Habitat for Humanity
June 15 (rescheduled from June 8 due to forecast of heavy rain) - Garden Tour, 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Plant sale and exhibit at Fairgrounds.
June 19 - *Meeting at member Rita Hindman's home at 9915 Old Bainbridge Trail, Marion. Meet at St. Joseph’s parking lot at 10:30 to carpool. Luncheon catered by Fazoli's. Program presented by members, "Displaying Cut Flowers."
July 17 - *Meeting at Heartland Christian Church at 1 pm. Susan Sloop, Univ. of IL Ext. will speak on "DeClutter & Destress."
Aug 1-3 - Get Fairground beds ready for the Williamson County Fair, which is August 4-10.
August 21 - *Meeting at John A. Logan Harrison Bruce Historical Village at the Heritage Pollinator Garden. Carpool from St. Joseph's parking lot at 10:30. Bring a sack lunch.
September 18 - *Trip to Brenda Tripp’s Flower Farm, Anna, IL. Brenda will do a program on "Hybridizing Zinnias and Saving Seeds." Leave from St. Joseph’s Church parking lot on Russell St at 10 am. Bring a sack lunch and a chair. Wear comfortable shoes. Brenda lives ½ mile from the intersection of I-57 and Rt. 146.
October 16 - *Meeting at Heartland Christian Church at 1 pm. Anne Parmley, Master Naturalist, will speak on "Native Plants".
October 24 - District VII Semi-Annual Meeting hosted by Evergreen Garden Club of Carbondale.
November 20 - *Meeting at Heartland Christian Church at 1 pm. Jonna Coffey, DeTerra Oils, will speak on "Essentials Oils."
December 18 - *Meeting at Heartland Christian Church at 12:00 Noon. Holiday Potluck. Bring cash donation or gift bag of toiletries for Lighthouse Shelter.
January 15 - *Meeting at Heartland Christian Church at 1 pm. Austin Little, Master Gardener Coordinator, will speak on "Master Gardener Program and What the Extension Office Has to Offer."
February 19 - *Meeting at Heartland Christian Church at 1 pm. Linda Minnis, member, will speak on "Gesneriads (African Violet relatives): Popular Genera." Plan to pay dues. $10 single, $16 couple
March 18 - *Meeting at Heartland Christian Church at 1 pm. Herb Klichner of Herrin will speak on "Square Foot Gardening." Herb is a Master Gardener from U of I Extension Office out of Saline County.
March 26 - District VII Semi-Annual Meeting hosted by Metropolis Garden Club.
