The Marion Garden Club is a civic organization with membership open to anyone with an interest in gardening and garden related activities.  The purpose of the Club is to promote interest in making gardens, lawns, and homes attractive and to stimulate interest in all the beauties of nature.

The club was federated with District VII of the Garden Clubs of Illinois, Inc., Central Region Garden Clubs, Inc., and National Garden Clubs, Inc. in June 1984.  Objectives and activities follow those of the Garden Clubs of Illinois, Inc. and National Garden Clubs, Inc.  The Club's motto is "Helping to keep our City beautiful".
